Information for Judges
Graduate Research Achievement Day will be held on Tuesday, March 6th, 2018 from 10 am to 3pm in the Memorial Union Ballroom (Reception to follow).
To celebrate our graduate students' research, scholarship and creative activities we need faculty judges from across UND's campus. We are therefore requesting you to attend either the morning, afternoon, or both judging sessions to ensure that we are able to accommodate the judging of students who will be presenting their research. In 2017, we had more than 220 students participating and we are expecting a similar or larger number in 2018 who all depend on faculty members like yourself taking the time to judge their research achievement during GRAD.
- Session 1 (morning): 9:30am - 12:00pm (9:30-10:00 will be judging prep).
- Session 2 (afternoon): 12:30pm -3:00pm (12.30-1:00 will be judging prep).
Lunch and room for faculty judges
Free lunch will be provided for all faculty judges from 12-1pm in the River Valley Room. The River Valley Room will be available for faculty judges all day and you will have full access to this room, this is also where you will meet for faculty judging prep for your session.
Award Ceremony and Reception
We do not require judges to be present during the award ceremony and reception from 3-4pm, but we highly encourage you to be there. This is a one-day event where we will be able to acknowledge and celebrate the research activities of our graduate students from across campus.
